ICC West Valley Coding Classes

About the program
The program includes 8 classes, twice per week, for two hours each, starting July 19th till Aug 11, 2022. The preferred student age would be rising high schoolers, preferably those who have some background in programming.
- Week 1: Introduction to AI, ML, DL and Data Analysis & Python libraries
- Week 2: Machine Learning applications and Ensemble Techniques
- Week 3: Unsupervised Learning and Deep Learning
- Week 4: Building end-to-end AI Project for social good
Note: Classes will be conducted over Zoom
Instructor background
Shikhar Gupta is a 11th grader from Monta Vista High School, who is very interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence. For a few years now, he has been doing many different projects some of his main experiences include writing a research paper on machine learning and publishing it to The University of Cornell’s arx.ivwebsite, being a machine learning intern at a local startup named Gardeneur, where he developed a machine learning model in order to detect the type of plant based solely on an image of the plant, winning a Data Science Competition held at UC Riverside, where he developed a machine learning model in order to prematurely detect homelessness in a few California counties. He is a lead part of the Monta Vista Artificial Club this, and being the president of the Monta Vista Artificial Intelligence club next year, and much more.
