ICC West Valley’s Surmala in collaboration with Sangeethaamsha presents Swara Sandhya Baithak 2024– The Musical Trinity of Carnatic music!
The fundamental idea of the concert is to explore the Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeeth, mainly Carnatic music. This concert provides a gateway in understanding the sophisticated beauty of ragas which can be presented in the form of music. You will be exploring the ragas which are almost similar. Indeed there are few differences but it has its essence and creates the mood of its own. Come and enjoy the evening with an ensemble of classical music.

- Smt. Gayathri Satya– A Carnatic music Vocalist hails from a family of music connoisseurs from Lalgudi. Gayathri is fortunate to have learned under some of the legendary musicians in the filed of Carnatic Music. She was initiated into Carnatic Vocal by Shri Manakkal S. Rangarajan at the young age of seven. She later came under the tutelage of Sangeetha Bhooshanam, Sangeetha Acharya Late Shri O.V. Subrahmanyam. Presently she learns from her Guru’s son Sangeetha Acharya Shri O.S. Thiagarajan. Gayathri started performing concerts in her teen years and since then has been performing widely in India and in the USA. She regularly performs in many of the leading sabhas in Chennai during the December Music Season. As a performer and a teacher, Gayathri takes great pride in adhering to her Gurus’ lineage and traditional classicism of Carnatic music. She constantly strives to inculcate impeccable sruthi alignment, sense of layam, diction, melody and soulful rendition of krithis, in herself as well as her students. Gayathri holds a Master’s Degree in Carnatic Music Vocal and is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her family.
- Haritha Narayanan– D/o. Neyveli R Narayanan (Mridangam Vidwan) was initiated into the art of violin at the age of 9. Had initial training from Smt.Sivakami Narayanan. Further she learnt from Vid. Sri B. Ananthakrishnan and Dr. R. Hemalatha. Currently she is undergoing intensive training under Vidwan Sri Delhi P Sunder Rajan. She has won the I prize in the Violin competition for seniors held by the Mylapore Fine Arts Club in 2015 and from The Indian Fine arts Society in 2017. She has provided violin accompaniment to concerts in The Music Academy (Spirit of Youth festival and The HCL concert series, Radel Concert Series, Dec Season Concert in 2023), Kartik Fine Arts, Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Naada Inbam, Brahma Gana Sabha, Parampara, Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Maarga, Neyveli Narayanan Centre for Performing Arts, Chennai Fine Arts Society, Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Madhuradhwani, V.D.S Arts Academy, TTD, etc. She has performed Violin Solo Concerts for Sangeet Natak Akademi, Maarga, Naada Inbam and more. She had the privilege of performing in Sri Shanmukhananda Fine arts & Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai. She was awarded the title “YUVA KALA VIPANCHEE” from the Vipanchee Natyalaya trust in 2019, “HALLMARK YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD” from the Rotary Club of Chennai Hallmark in 2021, “YUVA SANGITA KALA JYOTI” from Suswaraa Trust in 2023 and Endowment Award – “PROMISING VIOLINIST” Award from Kartik Fine Arts in 2023. She holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management.
- Aditya Srinivasan- Aditya started learning Mridangam from Sri. Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan and is now undergoing advanced training from Vidwan Sri. Neyveli Narayanan. Over the past 15 years, Aditya has accompanied many artists throughout the US as well as in Chennai during the December Season. He has also played for several dance performances and arangetrams. Currently, Aditya is a software engineer at Meta.
